If you are intending to take part in any sporting activity whilst traveling, then make sure you are covered for the activity you will be doing.

There is usually a list provided on your policy document which details which sports you are covered to take part in, and will also let you know which sports can be covered if you pay an additional premium.

If you are going to be taking part in an event or in a professional capacity you may need to seek insurance elsewhere other than normal travel insurance, and look for a specific insurance to cover the activity or sport you are going to be doing.

Organized Sporting Events

Normal travel insurance does not normally cover you if you are taking part in an organized sporting event, and you should seek the advice from a broker to ensure you are getting the right cover you need.
