Make sure you carry your medication with you in your hand luggage, just in case your luggage goes astray or is delayed during your journey.
Also, take a bit extra should anything happen, such as a flight being cancelled.
If you do take regular medication or have been prescribed medication, be sure to check if the condition you are taking it for has been declared on your travel insurance. You could end up with hefty medical bills if you have not done so. This is known as medical screening.
It might be a few extra pounds to pay to have a medical condition added before you travel. It can make a lot of difference to a claim situation if you don’t.
